2. Duke Agares — Lord of Cold and Fallen Tongues

When the storm erases the boundary between the world of the living and the realm of shadows, Agares emerges from the veil of snow. His face is hidden beneath the hood of a black cloak, and beneath the fabric one can glimpse only bones — dry, deathly pale, as if woven from frost. He speaks no words — his very presence is a verdict, for the voice of Agares can bring fear, madness, and submission.

His loyal beast is a crocodile whose skin is studded with precious stones. The rubies on its back shimmer like frozen drops of blood, and the golden necklace around its neck rings softly — a trophy taken from fallen kingdoms. Upon this beast he crosses the silent plains of cold, where snow covers ancient ruins and the traces of forgotten empires.

Around him stands his retinue: faceless warriors clad in black armor. They do not speak, breathe, or move unless their master commands it. Their souls are forever bound to metal, and their hearts have long since turned to ash.

On the horizon rises Agares’ black fortress — a citadel reflected in the thick, stagnant waters of a dead lake. Here, silence is deeper than a scream, and time flows backward. It is said that in this place one can hear all lost words and forgotten languages of the world, for Agares is the keeper of speech that has turned to dust.
